SDSU (18-7, 7-4 Mountain West Conference) finally got it right against a Division One nationally ranked opponent, defeating the #25 Runnin Rebels of UNLV 68-58, in NCAA Men's hoop action on Saturday.

State traditionally has had a tough time facing ranked opponents, winning only their 15th game lifetime against 78 losses. This victory, combined with a win over # 19 New Mexico represents only the 4th time in team history that SDSU has defeated 2 ranked opponents in the same season.

The Aztecs won the battle of the boards, grabbing 39 rebounds, while Billy White chipped in 19 points. State dominated the first 20 minutes, and survived a spirited rally by the Rebels in the second half.
